A Beautiful Diversion

Whether you are a visual artist or a visual artist wannabe or just someone who enjoys “filling space in a beautiful way,” journey over to this Silk – Interactive Generative Art (http://weavesilk.com/).  Credit goes to Yuri Vishnevsky for Silk and Mat Jarvis for the accompanying music.   The art you created is licensed under Creative Commons.  Click this link for a glimpse of my artistic prowess:  http://r.weavesilk.com/?v=4&id=ngtarsjse3

So far I have not been able to save my images to my desktop (all I get from saving is a blank document), but hopefully Mr. Vishnevsky will  help me sort that out.  In the meantime, what are your favorite diversions?

  1. That is indeed a beautiful distraction – that’s lovely, Marie!

My favorite diversions are books and computer games… and now maybe this.

  3. Love this! My stick people, which is normally as good as I get when it comes to drawing, actually look good.🙂 Reminds me of my Etch a Sketch when I was a kid.

  4. Wow. That was fun. A new way for me to waste time. Thanks, Marie🙂 I even created a picture this morning. Not bad for a first try.

I’ve got to stay away from video games as well, or else they will suck my will to live. Love ’em, hate ’em kind of thing. My Xbox has been lonely for a while🙂

    • I’m definitely an enabler when it comes to procrastination😉 Blogging has helped me get over some of my game addictions … But then blogging can be a kind of addiction as well🙂

      • Yeah, I’m discovering that to be the case. I find myself spending more and more time blogging, which then cuts into writing time.

Nothing like being addicted to an effective procrastination tool🙂

  5. My addiction seems to be reading blog posts! It’s just too easy to get lost in reading all the great content people post (and the fun stuff like Weavesilk).

    • I’m the same way. And when I read, I want to comment and next thing I know, I have to go to work and I haven’t even done any of my own writing😉
