Turn your volume up loud …
I was sad to hear this news when I woke up this morning.

Me too 😥 But I’m grateful my hubby and I got to see him perform twice in Tallahassee 🎸
Nice! That must have been incredible. Hey, how did you make that guitar? 🙂
I’m writing from my phone and the WordPress app for Android has emoticons and other symbols. Very fun 🎶
Love his sound – I saw him in concert about 18 years ago but he was back in town a couple of years ago and I really wish I had gone. His collaboration with Eric Clapton is one of my favorites.
We were lucky to see him twice. Last time was a long time ago. I enjoy his collaboration with Clapton too.

Nobody did it better. When your initials stand for “Blues Boy”, you nailed it.
Thank you for the reblog and your tribute to the King.
My mother loves this man. She was devastated to find out he’d died and woke me at 4:30 in the morning to share the news with me. She’ll spend the rest of the day listening to his entire collection, which she owns.
Thank you for the reblog and for your comment. I was (very) disappointed that none of my local radio stations played his music as a tribute. Fortunately we have our own collection too. My regards to your mom.

Amazing that he was still performing up until last October. One of the greats.
I guess the music just kept him going … the last time we saw him was several years ago, and he had to sit throughout his whole set. My favorite memory of that night was watching him leave the stage after his encore, led by a little girl who held his hand.
The world is down a great man and amazing artist. His music is the kind that will never fade no matter the amount of time pasted.
