At least she had a good long life. I grew up with her movies. My mother even used to comb my hair into Shirley Temple curls.

Indeed. Even though I followed her careers, whenever I hear her name, my first thought is of that little girl with the curls, dancing with Buddy Ebsen :)

I was so sad to hear this. Growing up I watched her movies over and over. I still love to watch her. She certainly accomplished a lot in her 85 years.
