The Knit-a-Thon has officially started. And two hours from now, I’ll be at a protest at my state capitol. Here’s more from me:
So my video might be kinda long (about 4 minutes) for WordPress so if you can’t view it … I’m just saying hello and thank you to everyone who has donated to my team of one for the Knit-a-Thon. Here’s more info if you missed it: https://givebutter.com/knitforfood25/marie-bailey/mariebailey
I show my progress on the three projects I’ll be knitting throughout the day. To be honest, not a lot of progress from my last WordPress post so if you can’t view the video, you’re not missing anything really.
You can also find me on Instagram (@marieannbailey57) and Facebook (https://facebook.com/marieannbailey). I HOPE to post pics during the day.
Again, many thanks to everyone who donated. I am planning on having a giveaway of one or all of my projects for those who donated. [The finished project has to pass my standards first.]
Stay tuned …

It’s good to see and hear you, Marie. The yarn is very pretty, and I love your cat pillow (?) at the top of your chair. Good luck today! 💙

Thank you, Merril! All went well. I even finished the watch cap (oh, you know that!). The protest was great. Probably the largest turnout in Tallahassee history. It was peaceful and, frankly, kind of fun. Everyone was in good humor. They let their signs express their anger. 🙂

You’re welcome, Marie.
The Philadelphia one was similar. 😊

Good luck with both of your projects. You’ll report back on each, right?

Thank you, Ally. I will write a post, hopefully tomorrow. Today I just felt exhausted. The protest went really well, and I finished the watch cap, never even bothered to pick up the other two projects, but they are next in line 🙂

Thank you, Liz! Yes, both went well. I hope to share some photos here on WP. I finished the watch cap … yay! And the protest went well. Here in Florida, we are prohibited from marching in the streets, i.e., doing anything that might interfere with traffic. There were a few speakers but most people were lining the sidewalks with their signs. The capitol is at a T-intersection and gets a lot of car traffic. It was almost non-stop honking. Yay! There was a Pro-Life group that tried to be obnoxious but everyone ignored them. It was a peaceful protest.

You’re welcome, Marie! I’m so glad your Florida protest was peaceful. If we want to prevail, we have to go the Martin Luther King route

You have a lovely and soothing voice, just so you know.
Best of luck on all of it.

Thank you! I thought posting would be faster if I did a video. Hah! Anyway, I need to follow up, but I’m exhausted. Hopefully soon(ish). I did finish the hat so I’m happy about that 🙂
