Love his sound – I saw him in concert about 18 years ago but he was back in town a couple of years ago and I really wish I had gone. His collaboration with Eric Clapton is one of my favorites.
My mother loves this man. She was devastated to find out he’d died and woke me at 4:30 in the morning to share the news with me. She’ll spend the rest of the day listening to his entire collection, which she owns.

I guess the music just kept him going … the last time we saw him was several years ago, and he had to sit throughout his whole set. My favorite memory of that night was watching him leave the stage after his encore, led by a little girl who held his hand.
